    1. Immediate dental implants
    One day implants implants refers to dental implants that are placed immediately at the time
    of extraction of a non-infected tooth. These days with the improvement in technology fixed
    prosthetics such as crowns or bridges can be placed on the implants immediately after     surgery thus leading to the name Immediate dental implant.

    Criteria for immediate implant:
    Dental implant can be placed at the time of extraction of fractured or decayed tooth. In case
    of infection, inflammation at extraction time you we advise at that moment not to place
    dental implant. Good bone quality and quantity is required for immediate implants for
    success. Single day implants are not applicable to all patients.

    2. Conventional dental implants
    This dental implant suits most of the cases and needs a predicted time of anywhere between 2 to 6 months for completion of treatment.

    Conventional dental implant is done in 2 phases
    Phase 1 - Placement of titanium implant post through surgical placement is done. The implant post is then left to heal for 2 months
                    to integrate with the jaw bone.
    Phase 2 - Fixed prosthetics such a crown, fixed bridge or over dentures are constructed and fitted on to the dental implant post.
